Again

our house has been struck with sickness. Poor Allisyn has the (hopefully) 24-hour stomach bug. She started out vomiting at 3 am, all over her dad and the bed and has been going non-stop all day. We changed the sheets 4 times through out the morning. I have changed my clothes at least 7 times today. Allisyn has been in nothing but a diaper for about 5 hours because she is tired of stripping down when she looses everything.

We are about to go bed, so hopefully, Lord willing, we will sleep through the night without any vomiting, and our happy, healthy baby will be back tomorrow.

Finally!

We are starting to feel better. Ok, mainly it is me. Everyone else has been feeling better for a while. I still have that dry nagging cough, but I'm learning to live with it. My house is still a horrible mess, but I am hoping that we can remedy that soon.

This weather is just yucky. The kind of day the dogs want to stay in all day. Right now they are outside, but they are wanting to come back in. It makes it hard to clean the kitchen when they are in there. That is where they have to hang out until we get the rest of the house picked up. They stink bad and really need baths, and that makes it hard to be in the kitchen with them.

This is Michael's first weekend to work, but he had yesterday and Monday off. It was nice, but we did not get much done. That is how it usually works when he has one day off. Nothing gets done. I finally have my first OB appt set up. I go in next week for blood work and stuff in prep for my first appointment. Now I just need to find someone to watch Alli-bug. I don't think she would do well, since Michael will not be there. Well, she is shutting the computer so I need to go spend some time with her apparently! Even though she has had all me all day.

When will it leave?

This sickness and stuff? I was feeling fairly well on Tuesday, but woke up feeling bad again on Wednesday. Allisyn and I went out to my young mom's bible study, mainly for her because I didn't want to get out of bed. By the time it was over, I was ready to be back home. So we did, we went home, and I stayed there the rest of the day.

Michael and Allisyn went to church, but I just couldn't do it. I am feeling a little better this morning, but plan on taking it easy.

Valentines' Day today, and I have not done squat for my wonderful husband. I still have all of my blow money from 2 weeks ago. That's how much I have not been doing. This morning I got up to find two beautiful cards from my husband and daughter and a box of chocolates. Like I really NEED chocolates, but I sure do like them. So does Allisyn, she keeps trying to steal them. No really she tries to get into the box when she thinks I'm not looking.

She is talking more and more. Repeating things that we say. This morning she was trying to argue that the chocolates were hers by saying "mine" after I did. It cute, but still frustrating. Well, she is trying to tell me she wants to eat. Which means I will follow her into the kitchen and she will stand in the fridge and tell me what stuff is and not pick out anything only to have to repeat the whole process in about 15 minutes. Yay!

Pneumonia

So we continued fighting through the weekend with our horrible respiratory stuff that we really should have gotten seen for. Yesterday we were starting to feel somewhat better, but we were both (Michael and I) still having competitions on who could hack up a lung first. My biggest problem was and still is, I cough and nothing wants to come up, even though there is stuff that needs to come up.

Then Allisyn started coughing. We KNEW there was no way she could go through what we had been enduring. So we made a trip to urgent care. She was acting fine and was all excited to be out and around people. Poor thing hasn't really been out of the house since last Monday night. So the doctor listened to her chest and wanted to get a chest x-ray. He said that she sounded like she had fluid on her lungs, but the x-ray was only showing it in her bronchial tubes. He thought the x-ray was behind? I didn't know they could be. So he ended up treating her for pneumonia. Not that big of a deal in the way of medicine, just a baby Z-Pack and some cough syrup. He said it was a good thing we brought her in, because it could have gotten bad very quickly.

It is going to cost us an arm and a leg, because we have an "urgent care" deductible that has to be met. We had no idea about this, but we would have rather gone to the nice urgent care we went to than the ER at Edmond which would have been our other option for our insurance. Can we say AAAACK!! This is going to throw some huge kinks into our budgeting, but the most important thing is, Allisyn is fine and will not have to suffer like her mom and dad did. Which was really dumb of us too, but oh well. What can you do?

Sickness has hit us hard.

So Allisyn did have a something. Though it really did not come about until Wednesday. She had temperatures up to 102.5. It was a day of cuddling and babying. By Wednesday night I was starting to feel it come on and Allisyn was feeling better. NOT a good mixture. I have this horrible cough that can bring me down to me knees. Yesterday it was productive, but after a major coughing fit it became dry and is really painful.

Last night Michael took Alli to poker night because that was the only way he could go. He had invited a friend and didn't want to not go or bail out. Today he was wishing he had not gone. He left work early because he is coming down with it too.

I am being the biggest baby with this thing. I am so thankful that tomorrow is Saturday and Michael will be here all day to help with Allisyn. She has not been getting the best mommy care the past 2 days and I feel horrible about it. I won't even get into the state of our house right now....ugh.

Rain, Rain Go Away!!

What happened to our beautiful spring weather? I think that it is just mean when we have such beautiful weather like the past couple of days and then we wake up to weather like today. So now, I have to pay attention and try to get my dogs to go outside in the breaks of the rain. They are big weanies and won't go out when it is raining.

When I started this about 2 hours ago, Allisyn started cuddling with me and did not want me on the computer. She is now back asleep and feeling a bit warm. I hope she is not coming down with something. Usually if she gets sick, Michael catches it and while his system is fighting a little something, he picks up something else from work and brings that home to Allisyn. It is never a good cycle. So I am praying that when she wakes up from her unheard of morning nap, she is back to her cheerful, active self.

Last night we had FPU. It wasn't so bad this week. We are still working out the budget. It is really kind of difficult since we don't know exactly how much Michael will be bringing home. The past 2 checks they had not been taking out for insurance or retirement or anything. Now they will be. Also when he works nights and weekends, he makes a little bit more. So it may be a couple of months for us to get a real clue on what he will be bringing home.

I am now anxiously awaiting my last assessment back in the module I was in. After I get it back, I have to add the mistakes to my final and see if I will Supplemental work. So far I have had 2 A's and 2 B's. Much better than my first Module! I had about the maximum Supplemental work in between Module I and Module IIA.

Well, I am off to take advantage of Allisyn taking a nap. I am going to relax with a book and be close to her in case she needs a mom.

13 Weeks

Yep, I am now in my thirteenth week of pregnancy. The past couple of weeks have been pretty good. Well, when Allisyn allows me to sleep, but I really think those days would not have been pleasant even if I weren't pregnant. Take Wednesday night for example. It was a very restless night. She was awake from 130 ish to 230 ish in the morning. Then I spent from 230 to 330 trying to fall asleep, praying that she would stay asleep every time she moved. She stayed asleep until 515 when she decided she was going to start her day with dad! WHAT!?! He hung out with her for a bit while he was getting ready for work. She laid back down and we watched TV for a while and she went back to sleep after 730. Then we were back up by 9. I was for sure we would get a nap, but no! No nap all day.

I watched my friend's little boy and her daughter for her again as a last minute thing. Thankfully Michael got home soon after they arrived and he was able to help out. I made dinner, and Michael was planning on going to poker night, but because the weather was not very great he stayed home. We ate dinner and then went and watched TV in bed and Allisyn was out by 755. It was nice. She slept all night and didn't get up until 8! Friday was a much better day! Allisyn came to me when she was ready to go down for her nap.

Yesterday was still a crazy day. I spent most of the day on the phone with my dad, mom, brother, SIL, and my aunt. We were trying to figure out the status of my parents marriage. It turns out they have been divorced since 1990. I'm really having major problems with this. They have been living together for around 17 years without being married. My dad did not have a clue. It is so mind boggling.

Right now Michael and his friend are trying to fix our fence. The previous owner was not the sharpest tool in the shed. There have been so many projects that he has tried to do himself, that are causing us so much trouble. Two panels that were supposed to be sharing a panel proved to have one panel having 95% of the post and the other panel barely hanging on. No wonder it blew down!

The budget is coming. It isn't pretty, but it is coming along. It still makes me want to cry and scream at times, but I have faith that we will get it.
