Prayers Please

A friend of mine from a Mom's Group that I am in has a 9 year old boy name Nic who is going to be need of heavy prayers. Actually the whole family will be in need of our prayers. Their are 4 kids. Nic and his parents leave tomorrow to travel to Chicago where, on Wednesday, he will undergo about 5 hours of brain surgery.

His mom has a page set up to let everyone know about the progress of things if you would like more info. Please keep them in your prayers as they have about a 12-hour-drive and a stressful time ahead.

On the Mend (Again)

I know that I have been blogging WAY too much about Alli's stools, but I'm going to again. Since yesterday afternoon we have still had some yucky ones, BUT most have them without pain and screaming!! PRAISE THE LORD!! Thank you for all the advice and prayers. Unfortunately there was nothing we could do to help her with the pain. We think the probiotics and the yogurt smoothies she has been drinking have helped this pass. She has actually been playing this morning! And being a stinker by dumping out milk and water when mom is nice enough to let her try to drink out of a regular glass.

The past 2 nights have been kind of horrible. Wednesday night she was up from like 4 to 6ish. Luckily Michael was off Thursday. Last night she was up twice. For a loong time. I'm sure Michael is having a rough day because she wanted daddy. We had a rough start to the morning when she realized she was stuck with mom. Luckily she has gotten over it and has been pretty happy! We even plan on venturing out to a trip to the store later! YAY!!

Trip to the ER

Last night we had a breaking point that lead us to the Children's ER. Allisyn's tummy was rock hard and she was just screaming in pain. So to the ER we went. I hate ERs. This was no different. We waited a while before we were finally taken back. They checked her out, and took an x-ray. The diagnosis is gastroenteritis. The think it is viral. Even if it was bacterial, there is nothing they can do. So pretty much I just have to sit around and watch my baby curl up in intense pain and scream through it. That is NOT what a mom wants to hear. They did paint her bottom purple to help with the diaper rash, which they thought might have yeast. I think the resident was more concerned with her diaper rash than the fact that my baby is extreme pain. I don't even think the purple stuff is helping her bottom all that much.

Soo the past 2 days have been a lot of just Alli and mom cuddling in the chair in between bouts of cramping and screaming. So if you would please say a prayer for Allisyn that this stuff leaves her little body soon, that would be greatly appreciated.

Poor Bottom

Poor Allisyn has been having some major bottom and tummy troubles lately. The probiotics have not seemed to help at all. She had a really rough weekend and was just miserable. She was a bit of a monster in church in Sunday. To make things worse she has really started to hate going to the nursery which falls over to the child care for FPU. We don't know if it is because they don't do anything with them other than turning them loose to play or what. It breaks my heart to drop her off when she is crying, but it tears me apart totally to have her still crying when we pick her up, or worse, have them bring her to us.

Thanks to her discomfort we decided to skip church Sunday night. It was a good thing, she was miserable. Her wonderful daddy decided to step up and give her a baby laxative. If you have never had to do this, I pray that you never do. If you have had to, I am so sorry. I couldn't be in the room. She was crying, and I was crying, and it was horrible. After it was done she just wanted to be in the floor with her tush up in the air, crying. Finally it started working, and after 2 of the foulest diapers ever she seemed to feel better. We had a good night! Allisyn actually slept most of the night without having to be attached to mom!

Unfortunately she woke up with some more troubles passing more foul smelling stuff. What we don't get is what she is still passing. She hasn't ate hardly enough to keep a bird alive over the weekend. She isn't drinking enough to keep up with what she is loosing. Poor thing has had such a rough time. We did get to go outside and play yesterday! We sat in the yard and blew bubbles. She has this think of saying "GO" when she thinks we need to go somewhere. Unfortunately for her, we don't have a lot of places to go.

Last night we had FPU. They ran out of food at dinner before I got any. Which was just great. When we dropped Allisyn off she was happy and was waiving good-bye. We thought it might be a good night. Nope, they brought her to us. Poor thing was in a dirty diaper, but they didn't realize she had a bad. Ummmm, hello, I bring her bag every week. It was probably better I changed her anyway because her little bottom is just raw because of all the stuff she has been passing. No matter how soon we change her diaper, and believe me, with the smell, we change them right away.

So our day has started off with a cranky baby who doesn't want me to change her diaper when it needs it. She has also told me about 15 times she was hungry, but when we go to get her something, she tell me no to everything.

Is it 4 o'clock yet?

As Promised

I have pictures below! So my Wednesday evening did not end off well. Right before I left for church, my Paju kitty fell off our banister. Which is about 15-16 foot drop, and she landed on the tile. She was limping pretty bad, but we ended up waiting it out over night and she woke up feeling fine. Thank goodness. I also had some pregnancy related sickness. It was not pretty. I'm pretty sure it was because a) I actually took my prenatal and b) I took it on a pretty empty stomach.

Yesterday was a good day. Michael was off and we got our pictures done. We usually go to Sears, but I was not too happy with them this time. It was probably because the girl was by herself and stressing and rushing a bit and Alli was picking up on it.

This morning started off to a not great start. I got a call from my OB's office saying that I was not shown as active on our insurance. Ummmm, WHAT?? So after a bout of phone tag with the stupid insurance company we find out all is well, it was just a HUGE mistake on their part. Which meant I had to go in early and call them and let them talk to the lady to tell them that everything would be covered. Did I mention that Allisyn was whining and crying the whole time I was on the phone with everyone? To top off our horrible morning, she would not listen to me at all, not even when I told that sitting on the edge of the tub was a bad idea because she would fall in and hit her head really hard. What do you think she did? Can you guess? You got it! She fell in and whacked her head really hard on the tub. That triggered a mild emotional meltdown from mom. Luckily I was able to get over it in enough time to get us to my appointment in time.

My appt did go well. Allisyn was not too bad. Michael had taken out the stroller and I did not realize it until we got there. Allisyn was asleep at the time, making things just lovely. She woke up in enough time to keep trying to run out the door of the exam room and try to go through their drawers. Good times! I did hear the baby's heartbeat! It ranged from 146-1556. I don't remember what the ranges are supposed to mean. We have an ultrasound scheduled, but I'm going to have to reschedule. I'm pretty sure Michael works that day, and 730 am is a bit too early.

Anyway, here are some pictures!

Does it look like she was about to take off? Because she was. She was supposed to sit on Michael's back but kept jumping off and running away.

This one is my favorite! She was telling us she was done and the girl was wanting to get one more, so she caught this one. Too cute!

Yes she does have a bit of a snotty nose, but no one noticed until we were almost done. How does a mom not notice her child's nose is snotty while taking pictures?

Isn't she beautiful?

A good day!

So far today has been a really good day! Everyone woke up in a pretty good mood. I got to go my mom's Bible study by myself. Then I might Michael and Allisyn for lunch. Then Allisyn and I went to the mall and got outfits for Easter pictures tomorrow. Now she is taking a nap. I should probably be laying down with her while I have the chance, but I'm not.
We have had a good week too. We did take Allisyn in on Monday because she has been having really horrible gas in the middle of the night that causes her to get on all fours and just scream in pain. They recommended putting her on probiotics. They think it could be left over stuff from her stomach bug. So hopefully this will get her tummy back on track and we can start really working on getting her sleeping in her own bed! HaaHaa. It has not been going well at all, but we are not giving up!
I have my first appointment where I actually see the OB on Friday. Should be fun. I will be taking Allisyn and I am pretty sure I'm taking the stroller to keep her restrained. I really miss Michael's schedule of working retail JUST for the regularity of the schedule. Now they get their month long schedule a few days before the end of the month and that is often times not enough in advance to make OB appointments. I'm sure it will be a hit and miss kind of thing if he gets to go to any. There were only a few that he missed with Allisyn and I'm sure he is kind of bummed about not getting to go to most of these.
I think I had a lot more in mind to blog about but it has all escaped me. Probably thanks to Puck running around and meowing at the top of his lungs for no reason. I have been shushing him so he doesn't wake Alli, but he doesn't listen. I'll post pictures tomorrow or the next day. Promise!

Not a good start to the day.

Our morning routine usually consists of Allisyn and I laying in bed for while watching Playhouse Disney before we get up and get going. We usually make a trip or two to the kitchen for milk or something to eat, but we don't do too much right off. I am very thankful for this because I am not a morning person. Usually when we are in bed, she thinks I need my glasses off. No big deal, I can see enough to see what she is doing if she decides to get down and play in the room. That is if I am paying attention.

Apparently I wasn't paying close enough attention this morning because she grabbed my glasses of the night stand, which she knows is a big NO NO, and broke them. She pulled the ear piece off, and the piece that hooks it to the frame is still in the ear piece. I really doubt they will be able to fix that. Thankfully, I still have some contacts in the cabinet and they have not been bothering me.

Allisyn has been in a mood the past couple of days. Yesterday my sister spent a good part of the day with us before she headed up to Stillwater for the weekend and Allisyn was fine until we were finishing up doing some shopping and on the way home. She just had a major meltdown. It was not good. Thankfully with the help of some ice cream, she snapped out of it and Katy got to leave to a happy Alli. Last night she was a pill too, and has been one on and off all day today.

Thankfully she is napping right now, because we have a birthday party to go to in about 30 minutes and if she hadn't taken a nap we were going to have miss it. Which means I should probably get off the computer and get things ready to go.
