Pictures of Piper!!!

Just a note that I am usually the picture taker, so there are some family pictures on Rachel's camera. Hopefully I can get them and share them soon!

So I guess all I needed to do is blog! Thursday morning at 2 am I woke to a horrible contraction, got up went to the bathroom, and my water broke. I woke up Michael, called my wonderful brother and sister-in-law. Took a quick shower and BAM! The contractions really started coming quickly. We quickly realized that Dustin and Rachel were not going to make it time. So we tried calling our backup person. Thankfully, she didn't answer and we just took off with Allisyn. I was really thinking we might deliver Piper in the car!

We got to the hospital they got me a wheelchair and took me straight to the trauma room. As soon as I was on the table, the nurse checked me and was yelling for help and wheeling me to the delivery room! Thankfully my OB was on call and at the hospital and made it in time. Allisyn was there for the whole thing. She was in her daddy's arms up by my head and got to watch her sister come into the world. The look on her face was priceless. From water break to delivery was about 100 minutes! It was very intense and scary at times, but everything when smoothly considering!

She arrived at 341 am. She was 7 lbs 11 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. She looks a lot like Allisyn, but she has more hair and it is darker. She is absolutely precious! Allisyn is doing pretty well with her. She is more than ok with Piper being with mom, but she is not thrilled when she has to share daddy. We should get to go home tomorrow morning. Staying in the hospital for 48 hours has been less than fun.
